Courses for adults focus on the conversational language combined with listening, reading and writing skills.

The main aim is to improve the confidence of students in using the language in everyday situations by exposing them to various suitable teaching materials.

Learning English for adults opens doors for them to continue further studies and increase their chance of job prospective.

 

Each group contains maximum 12 students. Through every level each student gets 1 session in the computer lab.

 

 

Students can choose an extensive course where students meet three times a week for one hour and a half in a ten-week period. Or they can choose an intensive course where students meet three times a week for two hours in five weeks.

At registration students undergo a placement test, a writing test and an oral test to determine their level.

Basically North Star is a five-level, integrated skills series for language learning for students with academic as well as personal language goals. This series offers two strands: a reading and writing strand, and a listening and speaking strand. Both strands stimulate students' imagination, encourage critical thinking, and promote personal expression. At each level, the two strands explore different aspects of the same contemporary themes. Each book practices language-learning skills through high-interest thematic content.

Components: 

The fully integrated approach includes a teacher's manual with achievement tests, process writing activity books, audio recordings of the main reading and listening sections, a new video program, and Web activities.  In addition to the Student Book, the writing Activity Book for each level of the reading and writing strand expands and reinforces the writing process. The Audio Program, CDs/Cassettes, includes all the reading and listening segments as well as pronunciation exercises. The Video Program, Cassette/DVD, includes 3 to 5 minute segments for each unit.    

New Cutting Edge  is a multi-level general English course for adults and young adults. It offers a six-level course from Starter to Advanced with plenty of additional material to support your teaching. New Cutting Edge  offers a rich international content with an all-round practical knowledge of comprehensive grammar, skills, vocabulary, and real-life functional language.

Components:

Each level has a Student’s Book, a vocabulary book, mini-dictionary; a Workbook; a Teachers' Book with a Resource Bank of photocopiable material; Tests; and Videos.The Students' Book is divided into 10-16 topic-based modules, with additional Consolidation modules. There are also Language summary sections, verb tables and tape scripts at the back. The Videos feature a collection of short films to consolidate the language introduced in the Students' Books and are supported by Video Workbooks. These new videos build on the real-life aspect of the course. The vibrant, documentary-style approach focuses on different aspects of the English-speaking world, with exciting young presenters to introduce each topic.
